The Test Kitchen in Woodstock, Cape Town, has been named as one of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016 and also took top honours for the best restaurant in Africa. Chef Luke Dale-Roberts and his award winning establishment ranked as the 22nd best restaurant in the world according to the annual list which was revealed last night. An improvement from last year when it came in 28th place.
I have never eaten there *cough,hi Luke* so cannot tell you from first hand experience what the food is like, but heard it’s an amazing experience.
Top honours this year went to Italian restaurant Osteria Francescana followed by El Celler de Can Roca in Spain and Eleven Madison Park in NY.
